092 Week 14: Exam Week

I know it's week 14, and I have 2 exams on Friday, followed by another on Saturday, but I just got the sudden urge to resurrect this blog. It was started in 2005, and died for a little, came back in 2006 then died indefinitely. Today will be day it comes back.

I am screwed. If this exam doesn't kill me, the sugar and caffeine from Red Bull will. If that doesn't kill me, the lack of sleep and deterioration of my internal organs will. Dramatic, I know. That's me. All that dying aside, this blog has kind of mapped out the progression of my life... Lodge School, Kuching --> Padworth College, Reading --> (not documented but there was) London Metropolitan University, London --> SEGI College, Kuching --> bumming, everywhere --> and now Bond University, Gold Coast. My choices (good or bad) has taken me around.

MAS... Oh MAS.... *sigh* MAS....

MAS has to be the most annoying, incompetent, haphazard, unorganized airlines to exist. It's annoying when you're travelling long distance and the last thing you expect to happen happens. My flight from KL to Heathrow was suppose to be at 11:55 pm on the 7th, so I checked in directly from Kuching and they told me to collect my KL-Heathrow ticket at the transfer counter. Unfortunately, I got jacked at the X-ray machine in Kuching and so goodbye to my phone. But then, on the plane, I met a friend that was the stewardess and I hadn't seen her for quite a number of years so it was a nice surprise. Just when I thought things were turning for the better, I reached the transfer counter in KL and the man tells me my flight is overbooked. OVERBOOKED. How in God's name do you overbook a damn flight!?!?!? *calms down* He sends me running to the check in counters on the 3rd/4th floor, and to make matters worst, a flight from Mecca just arrived so the arrival halls were packed with Muslims families waiting to see their loved ones. Bless them, but it does get really frustrating when its packed and when there's no way I'm going to push through a whole throng of ageing/aged people. It's just not right. Bless the Pak Ciks and Mak Ciks.

*sigh* See the sweet Apek's face.

Anyway, with no phone to call anyone, I'm told all of MAS' Europe bound flights are overbooked. Retards. By 11:55pm, I'm standing in front of the counters, waiting for MAS to give me money and send me to Pan Pacific, while the flight I'm suppose to be on leaves. Anyway, at the end of the night, I get free phone calls to anywhere in the world courteousy of MAS Manager on Duty, a night stay in a RM400 a night double room, a seat on the next flight and RM600. Sad la... All this cool shit and no friends to share it with. BAH... Now you see why MAS claims to lose money? On the KL-Heathrow flight alone, they had to compensate for 48 other people. Putting us on the next available flight means that another 48 people on the next Heathrow bound flight will have to be compensated. Snowball effect. Anyway, the poor man at the ticketing counter kept apologising countlessly and the worst part was it wasn't even his fault! I watched that poor man get scolded soooo many times. Seeeeeeeeee..... dah la losing money already. Haih.. Oh well, I finally got on a plane the next morning after spending a night at Pan Pacific (with no clothes because my bag was already checked in) and got to skip class the next day because I arrived late at night. *sigh* Emirates, here I come.

Exams and the Courageous Little Bird

I arrived back in school on the 8th of January and I've had exams from the 10th until today. Thank God it's going to end by Monday. One thing I hate about A Levels is how it's quite hard to 'tembak' what topics are coming out. Also, these angmoh people seem to love reading essays a lot. Everything seems to require writing essays. Also, I officially wasted 90 pounds to sit for the International English Language Testing System (IELTS). Apparently, it's an English test that I don't need because I got an A1 for 1119 English in SPM but I'm taking it anyway. Why not right? Make myself feel better since it's the only class where I'm better than everyone else who come from places like China, Spain, Saudi Arabia and Hong Kong, where English isn't their first language. I'm a bitch. Hehe... Oh well... I have my 1st Contract Law module tomorrow and it's a pain! Haven't really got down to finishing up studying but oh well.

Its shit windy today, as in zinc-roof-flying-off windy, as in Airport-Road-jam-because-trees-tumbang windy, that kind of windy ;) . The school's smoking hut officially disintergrated. I saw a really random thing just now. This is a story of a courageous bird and how it faced the evil winds. Was standing by the school field having a smoke with everyone else when I looked up to the sky and saw this bird flying against the wind direction, looking like it was having a hard time. Then all of a sudden, a sudden gust of wind came and blew the poor bird away, into the trees, and seconds later, the bird flies out of the trees and continues his journey fighting the evil wind. The End. LOL... Yeah... That's my story. Shows you how being bored in boarding school and exams make a person. Bless the bird.

HONEY I'M HOMEeEeeee!!!

*jumps excitedly up and down* Did you miss me did you miss me did you miss me??????? *calms down* Hah.. ok. Lol... another year has passed, and it's a brand new year now. Welcome to 2007. Anyway, I know I haven't been doing anything on this blog for..... 8 months? Hehe... but anyway, it should start running again soon considering Internet back here in boarding school is settling down. So, until then, sit tight, relax and wait for me. Hehehehehehhehehehehehehehehehehehehe..... IM BACK!

Paris Trip PART 2

Ahhhhh... I started part 2 in Lynn's, a friend from back home, house during half term (no excitement.. it was only 5 days including Saturday and Sunday). She had got proper connection so I was trying to finish up this post. Didn't work. Hehe... Anyway, I stopped at the picture of Champs-Elysees at night.
Day 2- 28th January (Part 2)

Me in front of the Sexodrome (LOL) along Pigalle Street, Paris' red-light district. Sexodrome... LOL... don't tell me it doesn't crack you up.

Also along Pigalle, the famous Moulin Rouge.... remember the Nicole Kidman/Ewan McGregor movie...
My friends and I were actually wondering whether we should go watch ABUDEN, it would costs us €70, no table but standing at bar and 2 drinks. So in the end we didn't. Haih... BUT, we nearlly went to a table dancing bar, but 1 of the girls with us were all so prim and proper so we didn't feel nice leaving her alone so we didn't.
Day 3- 29th January
Sightseeing all the way...

Paris Trip PART 1

Hey hey hey… Been back from Paris for 2 weeks already. Left for Basingstoke Station on Friday morning to catch a train to Waterloo Station in London and from there we took the Eurostar Train all the way to Paris. This is the first bloody time I’ve seen a train station without a single smoking area! The Eurostar station is just plain weird man. Anyway, too lazy to actually type so I’m just going to chuck a whole lot of pictures here.

This is taking me forever man.... Internet connection here is literally like shit. Lags like hell and the connection is never stable. Argh.... I started this post like... 2 days after I arrived from Paris and until now I'm still not done. I'm just going to split this post into 2 parts. Easier...

Day 1- 27th January 2006
Padworth College --> Basingstoke Station --> Waterloo Station --> Paris

Me & Mimie (Sabahan girl) photo whoring while waiting for everyone else to get ready.

L-R Lan (Jap chick) & Candy (HK chick) in Waterloo's Eurostar Station waiting for the damn freaking train to Paris.

Check this out man... the damn Eurostar station has NO smoking area at all. Not a single one. BUT they're selling ciggarettes everywhere in the station. Weird shit. So anyway, a little information about this Eurostar Train thingamajig. Basically, Eurostar Trains take you to the neighbouring European countries and it goes under the English Channel if I'm not mistaken. So instead of flying, lets say if you wanted to go to Brussels or Paris from London, you can just opt to take a train instead. From London to Paris it takes about... less than 4 hours if I remembered correctly.

Me & Mimie in the train.

My French Onion Soup that was filled with bread and loads and loads of cheese. Better than those onion in plain water we get back in Malaysia. I know it looks like shit there but trust me... looks can be deceiving.

Duck in Orange Sauce! No one does it like the French.

The Basilique du Sacre-Coeur.

The "view" of Paris from the steps of the Basilique du Sacre-Coeur. It's really beautiful but it was bitch cold and it was a little foggy.

Me and the supposed "view". Savour my face :D

Day 2- 28th January 2006 (PART 1)

Your Future In Europe Conference @ Palais Des Congres --> Sightseeing

Me & Louisa (China chick) outside the auditorium.

The Debate Panel.

Me & Wendy (Kenyan chick) inside the auditorium during the conference.

The whole conference group at the Arc de Triomphe.

The Arc de Triomphe among trees.

The famous Champs-Elysees.

With shops like Louis Vuitton, Mercedes Benz etc.

Champs-Elysees (facing the Arc De Triomphe) at night. Taken in the middle of the freaking road with crazy French drivers :D

Well, thats it for the first part. Until I find proper internet connection that doesnt get disconnected every 10 minutes and isn't so laggy, it'll probably take me another few more days to do up the Part 2. How sad is that? But for now, make do with these pictures first yea?

Heeeeyyyyyyyyy!!

Haha.... hey everybody! It's been ages I know. I'm now in England... Or more specifically some little town called Reading. Anyway, life has been alright here but then again, there's no place like home is there? Life here is really different.... Mainly also because I've got no one here picking up after me anymore :P (yea yea yea... spoilt brat so what? Kiss my big ass). *sigh* Life can be considered easy here but not when you're behind a whole term like me. I've probably done more work in 3 weeks than I have for my whole SPM. Hehe... I bet Cikgu Lily's probably rolling her eyes now (if she still reads this).

As much as I hate to admit this, life here wasn't what I expected it to be at all but it's been fine. So much for roaming the whole of London and everything. Apparently my school is smack in the middle of a freaking jungle so yeah... I've seen more sheep and horses than human and it takes at least 1/2 hour to walk from the main house to the freaking main junction. Oh well... will post up some pictures of the place and stuff.

I'm so not used to being surrounded by so much females! LOL... What more to say females from different parts of the world. There are German, Latvian, Nigerian, Kenyan, Saudi Arabian, Chinese, Japanese, British and Malaysian girls here. My room mate is a really funny combination too. She was born in Saudi Arabia, raised in Holland but now lives in Birmingham, Britain. Like woah... and she has 10 siblings all together and I thought people actually knew off contraceptives. LOL.... I shouldn't be so mean. Hehe... Anyway, picture post will be coming really soon k?

I'm missing everyone back home and the way of life of home. Hehe... everyone, do keep me posted about what's going on back home. Heading for Paris tomorrow for the weekend so there'll be even more pictures coming. *hugs*

Smelly foosas...

Woopeedoo... SPM is over. Hehe.... Interesting enough, the EST paper was quite hard *shivers*. Lesson learnt, never undersestimate the Malaysian Education Board. Somehow somewhere, they will make your less feared paper, your most feared paper. Didn't make much sense to me. They ask you to write about the formation of acid rain, and yet they want you to make sure you remember to add in the effects of it. Go figure...

Went to the 'Form 5 Graduation Night' which was held at the Casablanca Lounge, Crowne Plaza aka Riverside, on the 2nd of December. Have to admit, everyone WOW-ed me. Hehe... I didn't think everyone was going to be that serious about wearing formal clothes. Keke... But I have to admit, everyone looked really polished and well-groomed (except for the 1 or 2.. let's make it 5, that didn't bother at all {you all know who you are *grr*}). My camera is officially.. Dead so I couldn't take any pictures. Damit... oh yea, THOSE WHO DID SNAP AWAY HAPPILY, PLEASE SHARE YOUR PICTURES WITH ME. I'll be more than willing to provide everyone with empty CDs to burn for me. Thanks a bunch. Email me or drop me a line in the comment box if you're willing to share.

Oh yea, I'm officially the Most Kissable Girl (?) in Form 5 2005. LOL.... Go figure. Everyone seemed really sporting that night and I have to admit, Andrew did a great job mc-ing (excluding the fact that we didn't pay to see him sing). LOL... jk ler Drew. Being the girls we were, a group of us, *cough* Diana *cough* Jane *cough* Serena *cough* Charlotte *cough* were being analytical and critical about certain people that made a fashion faux pas. But nothing malicious or bitchy, just some childlike and square comments. Hehe...

I'm losing my touch. I feel bored just writing all this. Help... Nomarlly, I would enjoy blogging about rubbish or random things but nowadays, I just can't find anything that I can blog on. To those who actually do read my blog *cough* Lionel *cough* Cikgu Lily *cough* Brandon *cough* or anyone at all, drop me some random topics that I could talk about (which doesn't include anything to with a certain Miss Lily Chai). Hehe... I can't lose my touch. *muaks*

SPM IS OVER.. sort of la...

Guess what guess what guess what *jumps up and down in excitement*!!! SPM is over... well, technically no, but EST shouldn't be such a big deal right? With one thing out of the way, the next thing I have to tackle is getting rid of allll my school stuff. Didn't know going to school could collect so many things over the years. The amount of books and papers are just ridiculous la. Aneeeway, in... *calculates on fingers* 2 more days, we are all EX LODGIANS. Satu pangkat higher. Hehe.. We can now go back to school and point fingers at all the other students and laugh evilly MUAHAHA. We can also teman our cikgus *wink wink* to go makan and they can't say "You got class", "You're not allowed to leave school" or something to that extend la. Teeheeheehee... ABUDEN, see got big bold abuden, sad lor. Everyone seems to be leaving to a land far far far far away. Those who actually do visit my blog (are there?), do drop a line in the comments or tag board and let me know where you're headed to after SPM. I'm going to UK, if anyone's asking. Not like you would really care la, but won't kill to me to let you know. So yea... Anywayyy, I need to go reset my biological clock now. Hehe... Better not forget that I still have another paper left. *air kisses to everyone*

I'll do a more "upbeat", "fun", "interesting", "Brandon-ny" post again soon la. Honour the Chairman's Award recipient one last time for old times sake. Keke...

I'm BacKkKkk!!

Hrm... I guess I have disappeared for quite a while. Quick recap of what happened after mock...
  1. I fucked it up :) No surprise eyy?
  2. Brandon is officially angry at Pizza Hut
  3. Results for Chairman's Award is out
  4. School mag is out too.. (yes yes I know it's been out for ages)
  5. I haven't been studying... *followed by some dramatic music*

Well, went back to school a few days ago to give Mrs. Lim the green light to send my forecast results to where I was applying and APPPAARRENNTTTLLLYY I was informed by the other school that they had not received it yet... Hrm... Slacking on the job again ey Mrs. Lim??? Hehe... and I also found out that being a student in the same school for 14 years that sucks up to the School Secretary doesn't pay off... AT ALL. Tried buttering her up that day to let me see my forecast results but she was trying to be all noble and shit and refused to, telling me that there shouldn't be a problem and the grades are mostly 1 or 2 grades higher then what I've been getting in Form 4 and 5. Bahaha... HAS SHE EVEN SEEN THE GRADES I'VE BEEN GETTING THIS 2 YEARS!? *sigh* Oh well, like they say, I'm fucked. Hehe....

Chairman's Award.... I don't know how reliable my source is *cough Lily Chai cough* but she told me that apparently the winners are Lionel and Brandon. Congratulations! Even though I feel that there should only be 1 winner no matter what, I guess they both did deserve it. Have to admit they both are seriously talented ler. They should both get married and make smart babies. Lionel should be smart enough to create some new technology that allows men to conceive with the amount of money Brandon swindles from people. Joking ler, but seriously ler, Congratulations to the both of you, you guys deserved it.

Oh oh oh... was mondo excited to see the new school magazine ABUDEN one look and first thing that came to mind was "ST JO MAG HIA??". Sadly (LOL) it wasn't. It was just a very bad imitation of the St Jo magazine cover (no offence Morgan. I heard they altered it alot). Showed it to a few of my ex-Josephian friends and they all said the same thing. Look exactly like a St Jo magazine just different name. Haih... unoriginalnyeee. As for content, I guess it is different from the previous years. Different meaning I finished reading it in probably less than an hour. Now no more essays to copy :( Overall I would give it probably... 6.5/10? Sorry Cikgu but it wasn't as great as rumoured to be.

Few nights ago, Brandon msged me on MSN telling me how incompetent Pizza Hut was. First thing that ticked him off was when he told the operator he lived near the airport (they should know 082 is from Kuching), they asked whether he was in Kota Kinabalu or Sarawak. When he said Kuching, they asked Sandakan isit? To make matters worst, after clearing up the whole misunderstanding of where he was situated, which took quite a while, they told him "Sorry, we don't deliver to your area". Hahaha... damn soi hor this boy. He started complaining saying that he's seen the Pizza Hut delivery bike around his housing area a week before. He also started to complain that 30 minutes is more than enough to send a damn pizza to his house whether from the Tabuan Jaya branch of the 3rd Mile branch. Hehe.. From his house, it takes 10 minutes to get to school which means agak agak the same time to get to the Tabuan Jaya Pizza Hut and also 10 minutes to get to 3rd Mile, so even during jams, it should take about 20 minutes tops. So in the end, he asked me to flame Pizza Hut in my blog and talk about their inefficiency and their stupidity. Lol... damn kolien. If he called me, I would have taken him out to eat at Pizza Hut which would have taken 15 minutes max. LOL... For Brandon, I literally 'flamed' Pizza Hut. Looks kinda tacky caused I did it half arsedly. Getting a little lazy.

I flamed it just for ya Brandon. Try McDonald's next time. *sings* 1300 13 1300 McDelivery. Can't come to them, they'll come to you!

SPM is round the corner... Tralalalala.... and what am I doing? Trying to 'burn' Pizza Hut, waking up early to go for breakfasts, napping, playing futsal and badminton... ANYTHING but study. I'm doomeedd... Oh yea, speaking of Doom, I want to go watch Doom when it comes out. Or is it out already? Somebody shoot me please.
